Point Loma

This affluent community of Point Loma sits comfortably towards the top of the list of San Diego’s most desirable neighborhoods.  Many of the homes which dot its eastern and western slopes are blessed with spectacular views and access to San Diego’s many amenities. At Point Loma’s southern tip is the Cabrillo National Monument, built as a tribute to explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo. The monument park is also home to the Point Loma Lighthouse and San Diego’s most popular tide pools which are best enjoyed at low tide. The town has a full working marina, with sportfishing and seasonal whale watching excursions. Liberty Station, a former Naval Training Center, is now a thriving arts district with historic architecture, great shops, restaurants, and community events. Easily the most widely known fact about Point Loma its stunning Sunset Cliffs. San Diegans and people from all over flock to these rugged cliffs to watch the sun sink behind the Pacific Ocean on clear days (which are most days).
